Compelling Indie Movie
Survival Knife is a well-made independent movie. I say this because I liked the story, the acting was solid, and they had some very good locations. Beginning what is basically a stalker flick with an intense scene one would expect to find at the end of such a film was a unique touch and really drew me into the action right away. Lead actress Danielle Donahue was very good, giving a believable and often times intense performance. As I’m sure the filmmakers hoped, I kept guessing throughout the movie whether she had snapped and become a killer herself. The supporting cast were all watchable and did a good job as well. And I really liked the scenes (such as the opening) at the industrial location where the killer took his victims. It was very colorful and really added to the production value. Additionally, the movie had a plot twist at the end I didn’t see coming. I would recommend this movie.
