Very low budget, but extremely well done and realistic. A very disturbing film.
Just watched “Pig Pen”, a 2015 very low budget indie film. This is without doubt, one of the most depressing movies I’ve seen. The story revolved around a young kid and his drug addicted Mom, and a sadistic boyfriend of the Mother. This is not for the faint of heart, what this kid goes through, is just flat out sick. But, the overall movie is done very very good, and even with the sickening subject matter, it succeeds by being very realistic and the graphic nature of the violence. Even though the whole movie is one big downer, it is done extremely well, and could very well be a sadistic crime on your late night news.
