Such an underrated show!
Top Boy is a well written, well acted British crime drama that is a must watch for any fan of gritty, intense dramas! I just started watching it recently because of everything I heard about it and I’m so glad I finally gave it a chance because I absolutely loved it. The cast does such an excellent job sucking you into their world. The acting and writing is just so good that they really make you care about their characters and what happens to them. Each character has depth and this show shows each of their actions have huge consequences. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the seasons are so incredibly short. Each season picks up right where the previous seasons finished. I’m also glad that Netflix made the incredible choice of bringing it back after a few years because it’s as good as ever!

Great British drama
Top boy is a well written and well made realistic depiction of crime in poor areas of Britain. It is fascinating to watch and shows the negative impact of drugs and crime instead of glamorising it. Ashley Walter’s is a very good actor and plays the character well. Kano too stands out as well as the supporting cast. I found the first season to be better than the second but at only 8 episodes total there is plenty more room for story development. I look forward to the upcoming season 3 and will be very interested to see what character Drake will be and hope he can continue the standard at which it has been made.
