After the Ark’s life support systems are found to be critically failing, one hundred juvenile prisoners are declared “expendable” and sent to the surface in a last ditch attempt to determine if Earth is habitable again. The teens arrive on a beautiful planet they have only seen from space. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community. However they discover that not all humanity was wiped out. There are people on Earth who survived the war, called “grounders” by the 100. The Ark consists of the space stations previously representing the nations of the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, China, Japan, India, Russia, Venezuela, France, Brazil, and Uganda..
Plot: 100 years in the future, when the Earth has been abandoned due to radioactivity, the last surviving humans live on an ark orbiting the planet — but the ark won’t last forever. So the repressive regime picks 100 expendable juvenile delinquents to send down to Earth to see if the planet is still habitable.

My current favorite **obsession**! I’ve got to admit that it takes a lot for me to get into a tv series, and The 100 delivers. I like the suspense and the character’s strong leadership roles, and compelling performances from the lead actors.

* David J. Peterson invented the fictional languages of Dothraki and Valyrian for Game of Thrones. He is also the one who developed the Trigedasleng language for The Grounders on The 100.

This show is a hook and really interesting, and most definitely one of the best TV shows I’ve ever watched. Continually challenged my reasoning on leadership decisions and taking responsibilities, especially when one is faced with few or no options.Lots of gritty moments, full of suspense, and you would always anticipate something would go wrong, even while trying to keep, and negotiate for peace, question always is “from who”. Just reflects on the things we do in life itself for survival, relationships are not only questioned but lost and regained-@Thelonius &Marcus, characters sticking together irrespective of their differences-@Murphy&Emori, @Octavia&Bellamy, having an emotional heart amidst decision taking-@Clark………the list is endless.

Specially loved @Octavia for her spark plug attitude, big-ups to @Murphy- the only thing he couldn’t sell to survive is “The Movie Director”. Great Movie.

This is actually good
I started watching this because had nothing to do. First impression, low budget acting and mediocre scripters. But surprisingly, I got hooked. This show is actually good!

Now we do need to warn the nerdy, let’s hang bugs Bunny for being historically inaccurate type of listener. A TV show is supposed to give you a break from reality so everything in it doesn’t have to be perfect. This is a show, a make believe world made to entertain people. It does not have to be scientifically accurate to be good! Television shows are stories, not the real world, get over it for Pete’s sake!

First couple of episodes will leave you with a weird feeling of watching a teen drama poorly written. But trust me, it gets better and becomes quickly interesting. Gives me the impression that the whole getting to earth episodes were not written by the same person. As soon as that passage is behind you, the show gets really interesting. Got me hooked!

Pretty good sci-fi series!
The 100 was so much better than I expected it to be. Besides the ending, I thought it was a great sci-fi series that i would recommend to any fan of sci-fi. At first I thought it was going to be your typical CW show aimed at High Schoolers but I couldn’t have been more wrong. They completely destroyed Bellamy’s character in the last season which I just don’t get it at all! Everything these characters are doing the last season goes completely against what we learned about them for the first six seasons. Eliza Taylor (Clarke) & Bob Morley (Bellamy) have shown themselves to be up and coming stars. The two of them were both great throughout the series and led an all around good cast!
