An Enjoyable Surprise
I had no intention on watching this, it was one of these “I’ll pop this on and dose off.” ones…BUT! I started to watch it and instead of getting sleepy it had me hooked! The acting wasn’t bad at all, the story had a good flow and several twists and turns. This from what I thought was quite an original film, unlike most of the regurgitated nonsense we see being released nowadays! It seems like it will be cheesy but it really isn’t, it could have done with some more effort on the gore but other than that it was a good film! The characters were just right and it all fit together brilliantly! All in all, I would recommend this film. I’m not normally a fan of this type of Horror but it was a pleasant experience!

Indie serial killer thrills with a psychological twist
WHERE THE DEVIL DWELLS is an indie serial killer thriller in which the son of a serial killer is haunted by the apparition of his father convincing him to carry on his legacy. As a psychological thriller this is a real cheapie, static and taking place in the same location for the most part. The whole film rests on the shoulders of the protagonist and while his acting isn’t that bad – and fairly good at times – the writing is that weak that the story is a slog. The viewer will lose interest long before the supposed twist ending.
