uneducated; patronizing; and a horrible movie
I’d give this maybe 2 to 3 stars simply to offset idiots like myself, however, when i ran into the medication aspect of this movie – and how horribly it was depicted – i would like nick mendoza to punch himself in the face as hard as he can.First off, it’s a less-than-average film. Pretty bad acting, but it has a KIND OF decent plot to it… kind of. That’s the only positive thing I’ll give it.
People who directed/wrote/produced this: go ahead and see your doctor, ask for some kind of anti-anxiety medication – yes, i’m stereotyping Hollywood screenwriters – and then overdose on that. See if your movie is anything accurate to your own experience. This could’ve been a ‘scarily’ relatable movie, tied to prescription drug issues, but it was almost exploited for whatever reason; not like this was a gem by any means.
ditch this and go watch a movie by Shane Carruth.
Homemade movie in which the horror is non-existent
What is it about the acquisition of a video camera that convinces people they suddenly have the talent and ability to make a film? VIDEO TAPE TERROR is a case in point. This independent yarn is about some average guy who finds an old VCR machine and some VHS tapes in his garage, which is used as a kind of framing format for an anthology of sorts. But the non-existent production values mean that the whole film is a joke.Things start off badly with a ten minute title sequence before we move into a ten minute telephone call and another half hour sequence of a guy being interviewed. The funniest thing is that the film is set in the modern day and the actor is pretending to be a Vietnam vet even though he’s only in his 40s (interesting how they worked that one out). There’s a little time travel material, a little cheapo gore, and not a lot else; one of those films simply filmed in and around a guy’s house.
