Children’s horror
I thought it will be clearer in the end, but… Probably the writer lost his idea in some fast writing as,…Well, it is better to write something than nothing. Although it has horror atmosphere, childhood memories and some love story in between, it is pretty much empty.

You get it
I understand the criticism and I would concur on most things. The main character/actor is not as inspiring and motivational to the viewer as he should be. One of the stronger points of the movie is the kid actor, who while a bit annoying is played rather well. The girlfriend seems not to have to do much, looking good is not a task.

The tension is there and the story itself could be considered worth while. There are of course always circumstances that make you cringe and will get a lot of disbelief from the audience. But that’s how most suspense movies work in the end. This is a nice movie that is more than decent, but it’s not excellent by a long shot
