Watch: The UnRedacted 2022 123movies, Full Movie Online – Guantanamo detainees are released into a year long program of de-radicalization in Saudi Arabia, with the eventual goal of finding jobs and starting families..
Plot: America has been fighting the war on terrorism for two decades, and there are more terrorists today, not fewer. The day after 9/11, experts estimated there were around 400 members of al-Qaida. Today, those same experts put that number at over 100,000, including affiliate groups. The question we must now ask ourselves is not only how to prevent more men from joining these groups, but can we deradicalize those who already have?

Clueless
This is truly a brilliant film if superficial and didactic is what you’re looking for. The director uses private moments where characters that “trust” her ask to stop filming and she doesn’t, and repeated simplistic messages of “terrorism: bad, don’t do it” woven through a largely plotless 2 hour painful experience. In the film we learn that the 32 year old Yemeni man spent over 16 years at Guantanamo, meaning he was a child when he was imprisoned there. But rather than shed light on that issue, the filmmaker decides to talk about deodorant instead. But there are a lot of slo-mo pigeon shots spread throughout the film to create dramatic intensity.
And then out of nowhere, the director has this spark of journalism rush through her in the form of criticism of Saudi Crown Prince, MBS, and the hardships he has bestowed upon non-Saudis in the Kingdom. It seems, though, everyone is to blame except the US in all of this film.
Questions about how she got the access that she did aren’t explained by her knowledge of Yemeni Arabic, it doesn’t take a linguistic expert to know that she isn’t one.
And in the midst of her interrogative questions, we’re suddenly talking about whether the men are looking forward to having sex.
An abysmal film on every level including the horrible soundtrack that forcefully drives it along. What was Sundance thinking when they programmed this premiere?
A deeply profound study of humanity
This film will open your mind and (re)awaken your sense of empathy. It will also remind you that all humans deserve the right to be heard and understood. We have been talking ABOUT 9/11 terrorists for 2 decades but this is the first time you will be hearing FROM them. Watching his film, I was able to advance my understanding of the history of Guantanamo Bay and learn new facts about Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Yemen and the origins of regional conflicts. Most of all, I was impressed by the fact that the filmmakers were able to ensure that the film struck a balance between deep reflection, light-heartedness and even humor. Well done Meg and team.
