It meanders all over the place
I kept feeling the script was a collection of ideas for a script that hurriedly got forwarded as a movie. Like writing a letter and not proof- reading it. I could see some great potential in the story and at times I started to get interested then the script meandered off or came to a dead end. The actors were certainly capable of doing it better but the director seemed to know more about what was going on – in his own mind – but failed to tell the story with his chosen medium. Maybe writing and directing the same movie can get in the way of completeness of the film. Not being from US of A I was unsure of the heavy bias of black people in the scenes – is this the norm for that part of the world – are things really that segregated. Not recommended – even if it’s free…
