Needed to be 2 hours not 42 minutes. But a lovely tribute to classic movie dance moments.
This is very rushed. It packs so much into 42 minutes, so many classic dances. I would have loved them to be complete without truncating the songs. There stuff between the dances is also largely a load of fluff. But the passion that the Hough’s have for these great classic dance works is palpable and it is enjoyable experiencing them along with them. Dirty Dancing for the finale was the highlight. Definitely worth a watch.

Modern musicals are for the young. The musicals of the past were for the young, and are remembered by those of us still living.

WE have no link to how those musicals are perceived by the young, THEY have no link to how these musicals are perceived by those of us who grew up with them.

The young see them as fun, we see them as they were for us, LIFE. WE don’t understand nor want to see THEIR modern musicals, we don’t relate to them; as they don’t relate to ours, except as musical history.

Even remakes don’t make a link because, age tells. A story can only be retold so often, then it’s gone. The story should remain with the period, not be rehashed.
