A Simple and Honest Heart Looking For Him
I’m a devout Christian as well. I don’t agree that this movie is a man spouting homophobic propaganda. This is a talented and earnest man recounting his history and life. At approximately 40 minutes in, there was a part where a facebook homose xual reached out to him about his “conversion” and he responded to him. Not with words about God’s wrath, but about God’s love and ability to change him.

When one becomes a professing Christian, that person becomes changed. We are all broken. Whether one is a homosexuality, adultery, addicted to pornography, gluttony or whatever. It’s all Sin to Him.

What is expressed in this movie is how Dennis Jernigan found freedom in Him. Could this be offensive to some people? Yes. By understanding all sin is offensive to God.

It’s worth watching.
