Okay
The acting is pretty uneven and sometimes uncomfortable to watch. I love Martin Starr in Silicon Valley, but I’m not sure he can carry a movie as a lead. He’s constantly deadpan and didn’t always sell the relationships here. Maybe some of that was intentional, as his character experiences anxiety and panic attacks.

The idea of the movie is good and fairly unique, slightly reminiscent of “Her.” Mae Whitman and the rest of the cast did pretty well. It is often sad and awkward, but the ending feels hopeful. I would recommend it if you’re particularly interested in the subject matter, like the field of tech and depictions of mental health struggles.

Magnificent!
This movie is amazing. Beautifully written and acted.

Sadly it suffers from being put in the “comedy” genre like Lost In Translation and Birdman. Yes they are funny in parts, but ultimately the story is so sad it rips your heart out and does a little tap dance on it.

That said, this dark (and sometimes funny) tale is really interesting, and I did wonder which direction the film was headed in.

It was like a very long episode of Black Mirror. So if you like your viewing beautiful, emotional, moving, hard to watch and a little bit depressing at the end … This bad boy is for you!

Honestly – It’s REALLY good. Enjoy 🙂
