A very different kind of zombie movie…
Well, “Mourning Wood” scores a few points on being original. I guarantee that you will never have seen zombies like in this movie, much less the way the spread of the infection. And I bet you never seen a zombie duke it out with Big Foot before either.

It should be said that this is a low budget movie, no doubt about it. And while that appeals to some, take into consideration whether or not you enjoy these goofy low budget zombie Flicks. I am not, personally, overly keen on the movies that have next to no budget available.

The acting is as to be expected from a movie of this genre and budget. Again, some will like it, some will not.

The special effects are also as to be expected. I will say that they were at least funny to look at. But whether or not that makes up for their ability to be convincing, well…

When it comes down to it, then “Mourning Wood” was not within my taste and liking, hence my interest wasn’t fully committed to the movie. As such, I am rating “Mourning Wood” three out of ten stars.
