When the process of getting a green card veers unexpectedly off course, however, Mara is faced with abuses of power on every level and forced to answer a dark question about herself – how far would you go to get what you want?

don’t waste your time
It’s a nice ‘looking’ film but what story is their is not very believable. I understand the film was made in Canada and it does have a pious, holier-than-thou Canadian feel about it, as in like if you’re an immigrant, don’t waste your time trying to get into the U.S. because they’ll just abuse you. But HEY, just come to Canada where everything is free, free, free! Of course the summers are only 3 months long and you’ll pay 95% in taxes and you’ll never be wealthy but if you’re lucky, maybe you can get a job making movies about what an awful place America is. Whatever.

Stereotype
This film’s main goal is to generate emotions, but it tries to do that based on flat characters, poor and predictable action. The characters have no depth, they are unidimensional and complexity has nothing in common with this production.
