Foolish Narrative
To represent blood lust and random murder of animals in a dispassionate was always a difficult remit for this film. However, the hunter “hero” beautifully accommodates the role by unintentionally conforming to the stereotype of an obese, uneducated yet wealthy, Oakley/Under Armour clad god who is sufficiently radicalised into believing slaughtering magnificent animals somehow benefits Tanzania. If he hunted fair and square you could grudgingly afford to respect his blood lust craft.. but no.. his lackys do all the heavy lifting for him.

One particular lackey is a repugnant South African who never misses an opportunity to demonstrate his lust and love for murder is somehow an act of kindness. The other lackey is a pimply young American who’ quiet frankly, would rather be at home playing on an xbox.

There’s nothing remotely controversial to see here. here. This film highlights that wanton murder of magnificent animals goes on in this world and it’s all about trophies.

Ironically, the obese American Oakley wearing Under Armour clad alpha male hero also has a trophy girlfriend or wife too. Let’s hope he doesn’t shoot her.

An abhorrent act of human cruelty that everyone should watch.
