Watch: Jago: A Life Underwater 2015 123movies, Full Movie Online – Documentary about Rohani, an 80-year-old hunter who dives like a fish on a single breath, descending to great depths for several minutes. Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Togian Islands in Indonesia where he grew up, this award-winning film recreates events that capture the extraordinary turning points in his life, as a hunter and as a man..
Plot: Jago tells the story of an 80 year old sea nomad called Rohani who has spent his life plying the waters of South East Asia’s Coral Triangle. The story is told entirely from Rohani’s perspective, against the spectacular backdrop of the Togian Islands, and recreates events that capture the turning points in his life, as a hunter and as a man. We were able to bring Rohani’s past experiences to life by working closely with his family and friends in the village where he grew up. These are the people you see representing Rohani in the film at various stages in his life. Story telling is a big part of Bajau culture, and a way of preserving traditions through generations, so everyone was very enthusiastic about what we were trying to do and brought lots of ideas of their own, especially Rohani. Although he had never had a camera pointed at him, it certainly wasn’t the first time he’d sat around telling stories. We were just lucky that he let us capture it on film.

Indonesian underwater sealife
Jago: A Life Underwater isn’t bad as a documentary but I was expecting more underwater scenes and lesser taking about Jago, the eighty yeear old fisherman. Not that it is not interesting to watch but I’d rather watch all kinds of fishes and underwater creatures than a not that good looking old guy talking about his life. I was just not expecting that. But it’s all well shot, with some spectacular images, so for that it’s certainly worth a watch. But there are much better documentaries about underwater life. In this one it is interesting to watch what’s happening underwater in the Togian Islands of Indonesia but like I said it could have used more diversity of sealife instead of divers and fishermen.
The Master
What an experience a privilege to watch this skilful man way of life. I was totally absorbed in his story and the superb cinematography. This story looks so simply but this is deceiving it’s full of heart fill of knowledge and most of all full of spirit. If you get the chance to see this masterpiece grab it and prepared to be amazed and blown away by Jago and the film crew who together have excelled with storytelling at it’s best.
