Fantasy Island
This Hallmark romance concerns a music producer who travels to an island community where his sister is to be married. As in many Hallmark films, the meet cute is a reunion of exes. Jake (Scott Micheal Foster) finds that the wedding photographer is Maggie (Laura Osnes), a former girlfriend and musical partner.

This film features plenty of music–incidental and otherwise—including the wonderful voice of Osnes. She also has a strong filmic presence, so I am not sure why this film does not make more impact. The central couple has adequate chemistry. And the settings are beautiful.

Perhaps the script relies too much on the mechanics of wedding preparations, losing its “magic” among the details. But even if it could have been more, it’s an enjoyable diversion.
