House of Thaddeus: Not what you’d expect
I saw this as it was mis-advertised as a horror and let’s be honest the front cover suggests that it is as well. House Of Thaddeus is anything but and would instead be considered a drama or a thriller maybe.

It tells the story of a middle aged couple who get a deal of a lifetime on a beautiful seven bedroom house. After the transaction they learn of it’s dark history including a cult and a mass murder.

While the husband is dismissive his wife becomes nothing short of obsessed and it creates a wedge between them.

Beautifully shot, highly thought provoking and entirely original I can confidently say I’m suitably impressed by House Of Thaddeus and though I can appreciate the slow paced melodrama won’t appeal to everyone I found it enjoyable

The ending was subpar sadly but the rest of the film makes up for it and has left me thinking about the film, the couple and what I’d have done in the same position.
