The past comes back to haunt
Back several years ago when Hailey Dean was an ADA she was second chair on a homicide that the current DA Lauren Holly prosecuted. The perpetrator is now getting out and he’s written a book excoriating the criminal justice system and says in an interview that if something ever happens to him blame the DA.

Well when he doesn’t show up for a book signing it’s because he was murdered and the weapon is found in Holly’s car. She’s arrested and that’s when Kellie Martin and Viv Leacock go to work.

In addition to people connected to the deceased, Lauren Holly has some other enemies on her own who are taking advantage of the situation.

At one point without realizing it then Kellie Martin identifies the murderer by watching a tape without sound of a conversation between the murderer and the victim. Body language tells a lot.

This is a nicely told tale and remember the body language.

Just ok
Parts are good, parts are just bad dialogue and unrealistic. The good scenes with Hailey and Fincher but the best scenes are Hailey and Jonas.
