An advert for the netflix animes
Shame its just showing clips of the netflix funded animes. No real substance. They interview the castlevania anime creator and he chats about how people didnt expect him to have the type of dog he has… so yea stopped after about 15 mins when i realised the next topic after castlevania was surprise surprise another netflix funded anime.

So sadly not an actual decent anime documentary

Capable filmmaker, in over her head
The filmmaker was at sea with this project. She didn’t put in the hours required to research the subject. This clearly caught up with her when she got to Japan. While there is some interesting content, some of it is pointless (ten minutes on a singer), some of it is cribbed (a reused interview conducted by some Japanese guy), and she also makes no attempt to break things down for the viewer who knows very little about the subject. Perhaps the filmmaker has learned something from this experience. I hope so.
