This story was imagined more than 20 years ago
From what I’ve seen in the comments people are calling this a rip off of how to train your dragon, Eragon, Moana. This film and story is adapted from a book written more than 2 decades ago. If these reviewers took 30 seconds to do a quick google search they would find that all of the movies that this one is “pulling ideas from” might in fact be taking ideas directly from Cornelia Funkes ‘Dragon Rider’. Now this film did not do the original text justice but it is as original as a story gets and largely influences other dragon animations of the last 20 years. Unless of course you’re suggesting that the author has super powers and was able to time travel, watch movies that would be released well into the future, and then pen a story about them, you people are nuts.

It’s a fun film
I am not familiar with the book so I can’t comment on that aspect but I found this movie really fun. My three year old enjoyed it and I had a few chuckles at some of the dialogue. It’s a enjoyable kids movie. Enjoy it for what it is, a fun kids movie!
