This is a Waste of Time
Well looking at IMDb that’s the impression I got. However I went against common sense and got hold of a copy and guess what?, it’s not a bad little movie. The acting was good, especially Marty Lodge who played Dr Mike, and Sean Spence who played Steven Mime the ever so nice radio host who was feeling the pressure to become a “Rock Jock” and improve on ratings. Toks Olagundoye what can you say other than…. ummmm The script was OK although with no surprises in store, and I did laugh a few times which for an American comedy is a good sign with my weird sense of humour.
I did read this had very little screening which probably accounts for the lack of interest, but if you are suffering negative thoughts because the storyline mentions “political” then don’t let that put you off.
My only criticism is the choice of shooting in Black and White, but that applies to any film. I know the reasons film makers offer for it’s defense, but personally I find it distracting, and I just couldn’t see any reason for using it in this film other than for cheapness.
So all things considered I rate it 6/10 I was pleasantly surprised.
