Unfortunate Low Budget
I really, really liked the ideas for this film from the mother’s struggle with resentment of being a wife and mother, to mixed feelings about her adopted daughter, and wondering how much is in her head and how much is supernatural.

The mystery with the CEO and the family that lived in the house prior is also intriguing.

But the budget is SO LOW it looks like a soap opera. You almost have to be a Korea-phile or a hardcore lover of Korean cinema to get past it. I’m really picky about atmosphere so unfortunately I couldn’t just stop noticing it.

I do watch quite a number of Korean films though so I stuck with it. I wouldn’t blame other people for not doing so, no matter how interesting the story might be.

Good Story with Tense Moments
I thought it was very tense at moments, and the acting was really good. The story was really interesting too, it had a little bit more to it than a regular haunted house story. It was much creepier too. I thought the acting of the female lead especially sold it.

Although I felt the ending was a bit much with house intense the rest of the film is. The relief was needed for me to get the full enjoyment of the rest of the story.

I know the budget wasn’t the highest, but overall I think they did very well with it. And I think the story was good enough that you don’t mind. Even with the couple of holes here and there.
