To escape their troubles and find women, they book a trip on-board a cruiseliner, unaware the travel agent has just played a horrid trick on them in retaliation for Nick offending his secret gay lover. And that’s the trick; it’s a gay cruiseliner for gay men to meet and mingle. Slowly but surely, the two main characters begin to realize this and in turn get into a lot of humorous predicaments..

Quite funny
Were this movie released today, it would be the subject of a lot of ire. After botching his proposal, Cuba’s character ends up suddenly single and depressed. After this goes on for some time, his friend convinces him to go on a singles cruise. After angering the travel agent that books their trip, they end up on a gay cruise. This is where the straight, gorgeous dance teacher comes in and instantly catches the main character’s interest. There are a lot of anti-gay jokes here, but nothing hateful is said. I guess your level of ire depends on how sensitive a person you are. Funny movie, however probably a low point in Cuba’s career.

Many people are rating this movie very low, and saying it is a crap; but I don’t agree at all.

It’s a comedy, and it sounds perfect as a comedy! 🙂 It’s one of the funniest comedies I already watched and made me laugh like a lunatic. 😀 Jerry(Cuba Gooding Jr) finally decides to marry with his girlfriend,Felicia. But she dumped him by another guy,making him feel bad for many months. Looking how sad Jerry is, his friend Nick decides to do something to cheer him up, and they book a trip on a board in a cruise-liner, to have a week for rest and meeting new women. What they don’t know, is that it is a gay cruise-liner! Now the real fun begins, specially when Jerry meets a beautiful girl called Gabriella, who is a dance teacher of cruise and thinks Jerry is gay and Nick is his lover.

I think this comedy deserves to be watched. 🙂

PS: Gabriella with a banana, and the Swedish tanned team are one of the most memorable parts of this movie!
