Don’t waste your time …
This movie is a big let down. The build was OK but there are no horror bits whatsoever. Don’t know why Amazon lists such titles on Prime.

Good attempt
Plot The film starts with Ena Saha is drawing a figure of a girl’s face vigorously on the walls of a mental asylum. She has drawn the same picture all over the walls. The story then goes to flashback.

Aryann is an aspiring filmmaker and want to make a documentary picture on ‘Lakshmi’s Bari’ , a supposedly haunted place which is situated on the banks of Ajay river. This place is on the outskirts of bolpur. Aryann along with ena, his girlfriend and ena’s friend deepshita and her boyfriend soumendra all travel to the place by car on the evening prior to bhoot chaturdashi. Although initially deepshita and soumendra were not excited about these haunted house visit plan they gave a chance hoping for a vacation.

After reaching bolpur, they gathered various information about that haunted place. It is revealed that Lakshmi was illegal child of tagore family and she was kept at a palace made for her and she was all alone in that palace. After her arrival some mysterious incidents started to occur in the surroundings which leads to the Tantriks discovering that she may a witch and also can be actually godess chamunda’s reincarnation . To stop her evil actions she should be devoted to goddess chamunda. To complete this ritual she was burned alive but in her burned state she ran away and was never found. Those who burned her died due to fire within one year and that place became haunted. Despite warnings aryann and her friends still went to shoot in that house. During their journey they discovered puppets in the shape of human and they came to know from a psychic man that these puppets can come to live if done by certain ritual. Next they met a Baba who also supported the fact that Lakshmi’s Bari is indeed haunted and they shouldn’t go there . He also said that Lakshmi is very much alone there as she has no one to play with her so if Lakshmi want to play with them ,they must oblige.

After reaching that place aryann started exploring that house with camera , while deepshita and her boyfriend inspite of having no interest coming here started to explore too. Ena meanwhile found an anklet. Meanwhile aryann found a skeleton which was rotten implying that old sacrifice ritual might still be in practice. While they were busy shooting and exploring, a child was running around that they didn’t notice. During their stay they feel some kind of spookyness although they didn’t notice anything significantly. After they were done with their shooting they reached to a river side place. Aryann and rest were relaxing there when they encountered gathering of lots of villagers and tantriks and a cremation was taking place. They came to know that that day being bhoot chaturdashi, these type of things do occur. As they were done with the shooting they were heading towards return journey during which they found a strange looking goddess idol in the middle of the road and that idol was again present at some other place during their journey. At that point they realized that something sinister is there so they they want to get rid of that place as soon as possible but they couldn’t reach their desired destination instead after driving without having proper way out they some how reaced Lakshmi’s bari. This time they heard a children’s laughing and mischievous sound. While Ena told them that Lakshmi might want to say something, soumendra who got very much scared when a chunk of cement fell just near to him and he wanted to get away from there and hence they all fleed inspite of Ena’s unwillingness but after some time their car went out of fuel and soumendra blamed aryann for everything and after a heated argument and aryann who was upset with soumendra from the beginning due to latter’s behavior pushed soumendra . Soumendra in a feat of rage want to heat aryann but was taken away by an unwatchable force. They all started to run away but somehow they again reached Lakshmi’s bari with no exit door. Meanwhile deepshita , now possessed fell into the well hence died. Meanwhile all the premises got enlightened suddenly with candels. Moreover lots of people started to gather there along with some Tantriks to do some kind of sacrifice ritual. Ena figured out that as it is bhoot chaturdashi, hence a sacrifice will take place. Suddenly she found out that Aryann is missing and after hearing his scream she quickly found out her but to her horror, he was helplessly kept in a ‘harikatha’ and was beheaded by a tantrik and Ena screamed her hearts out. In the outskirts those fellow villagers who were activity taking part in that ritual revealed to be possessed or they were dead all the time.

Back to present, Ena is drawing Lakshmi’s picture all over the walls and repeatedly saying that if Lakshmi wants to play with you ,you must play with her. It is then revealed that she is possessed by the ghost of Lakshmi.

In the final scene Lakshmi in her deathbed attire , sitting in her palace and she has a eerie smile on her burned face and the credits roll.
