You might take to mean boring. Or you might take it to mean subtle. Not a lot happens in this film. A family reunites in a small English coastal town. The mother ran away to France with one of her two daughters. She returns and they try to get along. Meanwhile, a stranger shows up and courts both sisters. It was enjoyable, especially seeing the beautiful English countryside. Not a horrible way to spend an hour and a half. But just don’t expect a whole lot of action.
