OK remake – still pulls at the heartstrings but less charisma
I try not to compare remakes because usually there are differences good and bad. Problem with this classic is that if you know the original then you realise a fair bit is just skimmed over here (like watching in fast forward) if you don’t know the original then you may feel a bit is lacking in the story/character development because you wouldn’t fill in those blanks. The movie is sweet enough to watch and still tugs at the heart strings but is middle of the road. Ok for a quiet night in.
Beaches Was Beautiful
I truly loved this version of Beaches, I thought it was a wonderful film better than the Bette Middler version, the two main stars bonded so well. Idina Menzel came through shining with her singing ability, as she did as Elsa in Frozen, just love her work, she has a striking resemblance to Lea Michelle of Glee, so what more can I say but the story was so beautifully portrayed a definite 10 from me.
