Troma trash, Australian-style
BADMOUTH is a VERY low budget quirky comedy made in Australia with that distinctly Australian feel. It was put out in the US by Troma who I suppose thought it identified with their own particular brand of low budget filmmaking. Watching it, you’ll wonder why they bothered.

This film is merely a depiction of life in the rural Outback, a place occupied by an entire cast of kooks and weirdos. BADMOUTH is a film that tries so hard to be edgy and funny but fails at every opportunity. There are a few scenes involving zombies and many involving local nutters but none are convincing and all of the performances are half-hearted.

The worst thing about it is the monotonous narrator spouting rubbish all the while. The only memorable part is an entirely gratuitous skinny-dipping sequence involving a statuesque blonde actress. None of this is a reason to tune in.
