Necessary viewing
This is a tough, but necessary, watch. Even though the horrific display of state sanctioned violence and killing towards Black inmates at Attica prison in NY happened 50 years ago, it unfortunately feels contemporary. The scary thing is that not much has changed regarding police brutality, prison conditions, or racism over the past 50 years. The footage included is remarkable. You’d be hard pressed to find this kind of all access media regarding a similar event in 2021. As I said, this is necessary viewing for anyone interested in racial and social justice and abolition. Remarkably well done documentary.
Mis Justice
What happened in atica prison, shouldn’t never happen governor of Rockefeller and President Nixon are the one to blame of the Miss Justice that happened in that prison all they had to do is listen and get to an agreement to keep the peace instead of trying to get brownie points for their careers there is no Justice on how they handle it they should have been the ones put in jail and make them go through what those prisoners went through at that moment and all they wanted was to be treated as a human being all those guards after the riot who killed all those prisoners and stop calling them names and make them call through the pile of s*** get them all naked and just spit on them throw cigarette butts at them and if they look up I’m going to kill you n**** all those guys should be put in jail and if they old right now at this age and day they should be put in the worst jail in United States to make them feel and go through what those people went through and what those guards put them through it is a disgrace that these white people for that time being thought they can run the world because they was white I would like to see them now 20/22 and see what they going to say about it now when the world is full of all colors and all sorts of life I know they ain’t going to go to heaven.
