Bad on a whole new level.
Pretty plain and simple, the scary stuff isn’t scary, the funny stuff isn’t funny, and the stuff in between is simply poorly written. It seemed like a fun concept of screw ups battling zombies but wow they just threw away that potential and replaced it with dreck. Feel free to skip this one.

Not all that bad…
Well, with “Anonymous Zombie” being, well, a zombie movie, I would of course sit down and watch it, as I am interesting in anything even remotely zombiesque.

It should be said that t his 2018 movie is low budget, but don’t be so quick to write it off just on that account. There are far worse low budget zombie movies out there, and it was clear that the people behind this movie definitely had their hearts and spirits with them in the project.

“Anonymous Zombie” didn’t bring anything new to the zombie genre, so don’t expect anything innovative to pass on the screen. But the movie makers did fare well enough with the material that they had to work with from writers Adam Bunce and Richard MacQueen.

Now, the special effects in the movie were low budget and low key, for sure. But again, I will say that they managed to pull it off well enough. The special effects served their purposes well enough, despite being cheap.

What didn’t work so well in the movie was the sounds that the zombies were making. I am not a fan of zombie making growling or snarling sounds, which makes them sound like predatory large cats. It is just idiotic. And also the fact that the zombies were running and agile, now that is a no-go in the zombie lore for me, personally.

“Anonymous Zombie” was adequately entertaining for what it was. I stuck with it to the end and was pseudo-entertained along the way. My rating of the movie is a slightly less than mediocre four out of ten stars. Why? Well, because the movie made use of snarling, running zombies and also was rather generic in terms of script and storyline.
