incomprehensible
Amnesiac is one of those films that is totally unsatisfying , both while watching it and when thinking about it afterwards. The story drifts into somewhat muddled mysticism. I don’t really know what the writer was trying to say, and I don’t think that they did either. The low budget cripples the film in many ways , and is jarringly obvious to the audience. This is a further step in distancing the viewer from what is going on on screen. There may be a mystery here but it is not one that the audience cares about enough to try to solve.
The poor quality of the acting is a further disconnect with attempting to follow the film.
When the film had ended my reaction was “is that it? what a waste of time”.
Spend the time doing something else instead
Don’t bother…
And not to be confused with another film with the same title from 2014, which I thought I was going to be able to watch on my Roku. The 2014 movie stars Kate Bosworth and Wes Bentley. These are totally different movies. I tried about 5 minutes of this 2013 stinker, and as the other two reviewers state, it does not make a lot of sense, to put it mildly. Unknown actors and just aggravating. I gave up.
