Utterly enjoyable and memorable comedy
To be honest, the first few minutes felt kind of lame, but this soon turned out to be a very entertaining 80 minutes, filled with a zany situation competently enacted by what turned out to be a good trio of performers. The story and script are for the most part unbelievable, but since I was offered a book titled “What’s the number for 911?” I believe that anything is possible in the USA, and so it didn’t felt that outlandish of a plot. The dialog, direction, editing, and pacing are just right, and all contribute to a nicely wrapped up package in the end. Matt Jones turns out to be the weakest link in the trio, although he does a competent job of it, while Will Rogers delivers a near-perfect performance for the role. As for Eleanore Pienta, her performance is natural and utterly believable, showing she is a very promising actress. I wish we could see her perform in other movies. Overall, I would say this is a very entertaining situational comedy with no great aspirations but that overdelivers in almost every aspect (a thin budget always shows). I wish the director gets a chance to do more.
