Where’s the depth of the characters?
Thought they would have made more of an effort to develop the characters and maybe make Brevik actually look like Brevik. You don’t get to know any of the characters to start with, which is usually a good idea if you should be able to feel or care about anyone being subjected to horrific violence. They rush through what happens at Utöja so it’s hardly any time to connect with it, which is surprising since the film evolve around it.

I didn’t notice at first that they all spoke English, since I’m so use to it, even though I’m Swedish, but then it started to confuse me. Why can’t they not speak Norwegian…?? Makes it feel even further from reality.

Sad to say but less than halfway in I was bored and didn’t care much for anyone and turned it off. No idea how the can turn a horrific attack to something that flat and boring.
