Religious cult indie
THE BLESSED ONES is an indie horror with a different premise to most. The story is about a crazed religious cult bent on suicide and destruction, and as an indie it’s quite classy looking in places, made with some skill at times. Unfortunately, it’s also very cheap and uneventful, with a lot of scenes of actors talking to the camera which doesn’t really do much for anybody. The acting veers from the just about managing to the poor, and some authentic visuals aren’t enough to save this from the doldrums.
