Help!!
This film is a waste! Old storyline, no evidence of acting, directing is clueless, Not even any eye candy! I do not understand why the producer would spend the money to create nothing. Yeah, I didn’t like this “Last Stand”. It is definitely in my worst top ten. I wish I could say I saw it on late nite cable but, I actually spent the money to rent it ( I love science fiction) but there was no science and way too much fiction. The best thing about it was at least it wasn’t sub-titled or dubbed!

Sci-fi on a budget
LAST STAND is a generic slice of science fiction action shot on a tiny budget in Canada. It has that dated ’90s look that could only come from a film made in 2000. The female-centred storyline sees a convict released from a lengthy prison sentence in order to help overthrow a ruthless dictator on a remote planet. There’s little in the way of action here, but plenty of cheesy over-emoting and a rather large amount of sex scenes gratuitously added to the mix. It sure ain’t high art.
