Not funny
I’m hoping it was just the topic, but I just did not find this in the least bit funny. I literally laughed once – and it was not at her joke, it was at the response of someone from the audience. I’m actually surprised at the laughs from the audience it was that bad to me. Admittedly, I’m not familiar with her work, but she was on the Koy Pond and Joe said great things about her so I wanted to check her out. Not the best idea. The entire opening (before her actual stand up) was completely depressing and heart wrenching. A little confused as to why they felt that was a good way to begin a stand up special. Watch this if you want to be sad or reminisce about the loss of a loved one; don’t watch if you’re expecting a good time.
