Watch: Los buscadores 2017 123movies, Full Movie Online – Los Buscadores follows Manu (Tomás Arredondo), a newspaper delivery boy who lives in La Chacarita and works in the outskirts of Asunción, who one day receives a book that talks about the history of Paraguay, but later discovers that he is hiding a map that may or may not reveal the exact location of a treasure hidden at the time of the Triple Alliance War. Together with his friend Fito (Christian Ferreira) and Don Elio (Mario Toñanez), a gentleman who knows about the adventures of the silver “los buscadores” of Yvyguy, they decide to follow the clues and look for the treasure, which would put an end to the economic problems that everybody is going through living very close to the flooding of the Paraguay River..
Plot: Los Buscadores tells the story of Manu, a young paperboy who lives in the Chacarita neighborhood. He receives an old map, a gift from his grandfather, and embarks on the adventure of finding a treasure called “Plata Yvyguy”, gold and jewels buried by families in Paraguay’s 1864-70 War of the Triple Alianza.

Fun and Chaotic
This is an excellent caper movie by the director of the superb ‘7 Boxes’ from a few years ago. Initially, I thought this might be a ‘Young Indiana Jones’ (or should I say ‘Young Paraguay Jones’?) as our young hero looks for a treasure map. Instead, the movie soon smoothly transitions into an excellent caper movie. Plans are made and go awry. Other groups try to horn into the action, and a lot of fun chaos ensues.

The movie gradually introduces quite a few characters, but they are well-drawn and well acted, so it is never difficult to tell them apart. The Asuncion setting is also interesting, with the river rising to threaten whole neighborhoods. The motif of rising water is cleverly echoed in throughout the movie.

The title in English, The Gold Seekers, is not really accurate. It isn’t gold that they are after. But I suppose using the title ‘The Searchers’ would evoke John Wayne in a confusing way.

Strong 7: Well crafted crime/thriller/adventure
Recommended. Well crafted treasure hunt thriller which builds momentum well, with some moments really standing out near the beginning (cinematographically speaking). If you are looking for good entertainment or want a movie you can watch with your family this is probably it (there is some grit and very little gore) – not suitable for the very youngest (there is two murder, not very graphical).

The casting is excellent and the realism is quite good. There is also the classical leads in the story, some drive the story and all are wuite well woven in. Cinematographically speaking this is classical work with nothing really standing out other than some moments which are really well crafted. The thrill momentum is also more pushed by the motives presented by the persons who drive the plot (yes, this is a character driven plotline, where there really in only one real break in character rationality throughout).

There is an undertone which is refelcted by water, the river which is rising, the breaks in the pipes near the treasures and the religious festival.
