Sleazy, low budget hammer fest. “Cross Bearable”
I enjoy some low budget films. This has some bad moments and shaky acting from a couple of the cast …….Issac Mathews (Cross Bearer) sadly being the worst. He couldn’t have been any less threatening if he tried. Became amusing as he stalked about with the hammer on the air……it was so camp I couldnt help but chuckle. Shame really as with a better actor this could have been quite a dark savage character, I love a good claw hammer death and this is the main weapon of choice. He just couldn’t pull it off and it lowered the threat factor greatly. Cast is mostly made up women who have since seen their best years behind them and play prostitutes and low class strippers with varying acting skills. Attempts at sub plots and character development feel thrown in tk tey tk make you feel for and care for the character but you just want to see the next death asap.

The gore isnt groundbreaking and most could create it, but it does decide to throw a nice amount of blood and brains about but not much actual make up effects at all.

Despite all these negatives I still kind da enjoyed the sleaziness of it all. A little backstory to the Cross Bearer would have helped a lot. Rather than the usual lazy…..he hates sin, so gonna kill everyone direction.

Seen worse. Far far worse and the hammer and locations were good. Check it out if like low budget films with hammered heads and gore. Saggy boobed strippers and religious nut bags and cliche scumbag strip joints t owners and puimps.

IF I HAD A HAMMER
The film introduces us to a righteous vigilante intent on killing drug dealers, strippers, prostitutes, and pimps. The film then focuses on the life of a lesbian stripper (Natalie Jean) with a Philadelphia slang background. We then go back to the bloody killer (Isaac Williams) who uses a hammer to bash heads to produce some of the reddest blood around.

The plot pretty well sucked, but I have to give it 3 stars for all the sex and nudity…thank you Dawn Vaughn, Kacie Marie, Wyn Nugyen, Kalsey Lehman, Raichyl Sinversa, Suzi Pang, Brittany Reardon, Janet Searfoss and many more.
